Willa Cather Library Group 2018 Saturday :
All meetings are at – 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
The response to meeting at the Lied Transplant Center (just west of the intersection at 42nd & Emile) in the Resource Room on the second floor has been very positive! The Resource Room is right next to the Guest Services desk.
If you have any extra needles/yarn, please bring some in case we have patients/caregivers join us at the Lied (that was the condition instead of charging us a fee!).
Here are the dates and places we’ll be meeting from 1-4 PM:
November: Since we are heading into the holiday season, the library reserves the right to cancel our reservation so they can host library functions. Rachel will be sure to notify you if that should happen, and where we will be meeting on that date.
Lied Transplant Center (See Below for Info)
NEW MEETING PLACE
The Lied Transplant Center is located west of the 42nd and Emile intersection. It is on the north side of Emile. There is parking available underneath the building. Once you’ve parked, take the elevator to the 2nd floor. On the 2nd floor, go to the Guest Services desk (it will be the only one with people at it), and Becky will help you get to the room we’ll be meeting in – Conference Room 1 & 2/2760.
If you’re going west on Emile and see the Durham Outpatient Center on the right, you’ve gone too far. If you’re going east on Emile and see the Durham Outpatient Center on the left, you haven’t gone far enough. There is a sign identifying the Lied Transplant Center.
There is no charge for meeting at the Lied Transplant Center, but we will need to be ready to have patients and/or their caregivers join us to learn to knit or crochet. So if you have extra knitting needles/crochet hooks or extra yarn, please bring them with you so we can share with whoever shows up.
Parking At the Lied Center:
Parking under the Lied is pretty limited, but you should be able to park in either of the patient parking structures down the Durham Outpatient Center, or in any slot marked “Visitor.”
